merqori

About us

Nobody checks their payouts. That is why we exist.

merqori is built by and for people who sell on marketplaces and wanted to know whether the settlement adds up.

Why

A settlement is not an invoice

A marketplace does not pay out your orders but its own settlement: commissions, shipping costs, returns, corrections and sometimes an error. Without putting that next to your own orders, a difference in your disfavour never shows up.

By hand it is undoable. Two exports with different column names, thousands of rows, and a forty-cent difference per order that only shows once you add up a month of them.

So merqori does exactly that one thing: orders and payouts side by side, order by order, with the difference next to it. And because we run that check for many sellers at once, we can also say something about the source itself — which marketplace pays out accurately and which does not.

Principles

What we hold ourselves to

A number or nothing

A score only appears where it can be calculated. For a webshop platform or an accounting package 'matching' does not exist, so there you get a fact about the integration instead of an invented percentage.

Measured or marked

As long as a number comes from our catalog instead of a measurement, it says 'indicative'. Not in the small print, but right next to the number.

Rules, not a language model

The matching follows fixed rules: order number, then track & trace, then email plus product within a time window. Every discrepancy traces back to the two rows it came from.

No single seller identifiable

A public score only appears once enough organizations contribute to that source. Below that, one customer's figure would be readable, and then we would rather not publish it.

The threshold currently sits at 3 organizations per source.
